About

Fashion – no pain, no gain, and at what price? Looking stylish and feeling confident should be an easy evolution.

I am passionate about women feeling comfortable in their skin and in their clothes. Clothing is a form of nonverbal communication – you don’t need to be shot out of a cannon to make a statement.

Being fashionable does not mean having to compromise oneself. It’s not about following trends or emulating the latest 6 foot, 90 pound, 16 year old model. It’s not about this or that editor and what they are touting as the new must-have. It’s not about having to spend a fortune. And guess what? It’s not new, it’s centuries old.

It’s about having key pieces in a wardrobe that are timeless, comfortable and accessible. Basing your style on the classics, but giving them a modern edge. Think of clothing that has beautiful draping - take a look at the fashion during the height of the Roman Empire, from 27 B.C. – A.D. 161. Looks familiar, doesn’t it?

The point and inspiration of this blog is to encourage and motivate you to embrace your own individual, workable style. This isn’t nuclear physics. It’s fashion and it should be fun, not an intimidating and stressful experience.
